promotion and popularisation activities and technology dissemination
programmes in the state:

on the use of coloured recycled polythene carry bags
under the H.P. Non-Biodegradable Garbage Control Act,
1995. |

top rain water harvesting made compulsory in all buildings

Making
Solar passive building technology mandatory: Himachal
Pradesh Govt. has taken an important policy decision
for the implementation of Solar passive building technology
in the State vide notification no. STV(S&T)A(5)V93
dated Aug.18,2000 which states:
(a). Solar passive design guidelines for the implementation
of Solar Passive House Action Plan For Himachal Pradesh
have been approved.
(b). All the departments including Corporations, Boards,
Universities, HP Housing Board and HPPWD should incorporate
features of Solar passive technology in their designs
at places above 2000 meters (msl). |

Environment Policy
for Himachal Pradesh: The Govt. of H.P. expresses its
resolve to conserve and enhance the environment areas
such as land, water, air, mineral resources, health,
biodiversity, agriculture, horticulture, energy &
tourism etc. Policy encourages the process of conservation
and preservation and discourages mindless exploitation
of natural resources. |
