of Geographical Indication in India which in turn boost exports
of these products
o It enables seeking legal protection in other WTO member countries. o It promotes economic prosperity of producers of goods produced in a geographical territory o As TRIPS every year publishes a list of Geographical Indications of each member country, inclusion of any product in this list will certainly provide value addition to these products. o Being the territorial right, it will help economically to producers/ master craftsmen, artisans of that particular territory. |
